Is your dry and frizzy hair not letting you leave your hair open? Do you often tie it up in a pony tail or bun to keep the frizz under control? Well, using dollops of conditioner might not be your best bet (read about how to choose the right conditioner for you). Not only do they tend to cause hair fall in some people it might also lead to other hair and scalp problems. Moreover, unkempt hair can lead to brittle, dull and damaged hair that is prone to breakage. Here are some quick remedies you can try. So if you are looking for a cheaper and healthy fix for dull and dry hair, here is a quick tip for you — oil. Read about how you can manage curly hair with home remedies.

The best way to skip those 10 minutes in the shower with the conditioner on, is to oil your hair well the night before (find out the correct way to oil your hair with tips from Javed Habib). Oil your hair with your regular hair oil (the best for deep conditioning is coconut oil, sesame oil and olive oil). Apply it throughly on your scalp and then on the hair shaft. To add to the moisturising effect of the oil, you could wrap up your hair in a hot towel for a few minutes. If you don’t have the time for that, cover your hair with a shower cap.

Wash your hair the next morning with your regular shampoo. Remember not to over shampoo your hair and pat dry your hair. To add shine and bounce to your hair, try giving your hair a final rinse with apple cider vinegar. Not only does it add shine it also helps to beat dandruff.
