Quick home remedy for dark elbows

Skin pigmentation easily ruins your flawless appearance. Often, our elbows and even knees turn dark due to the extensive pressure and activities they put up with daily. Over time, the skin turns pigmented and builds up dead skin. To help cleanse and even out the skin tone around these roughened areas, applying some milk, honey and turmeric could prove beneficial. Get rid of dark skin patches with these remedies. 

A quick pack with milk, honey and turmeric would work on reducing skin pigmentation and brightening the complexion. Milk is a natural bleaching agent due to the presence of lactic acid. When used with turmeric or haldi, which has antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to offer, it relieves the affected area. Similarly, some drops of honey is great to moisturise dry, rough skin and hydrate it.

Steps:

  • Begin making a paste with turmeric powder, raw milk and honey. Blend these into a smooth mixture.
  • Apply it in circular motions around dark knees and elbows and leave it on for 20 minutes.
  • Wash it off thoroughly with water. Do this regularly for at least a month to see the desired results.
